Guide

This project is an experiment in gathering fragments of experience and emotion related to the recent storm that affected the community. I'm not looking for straightforward accounts of damage or news-style reports, but rather an exploration of the shared, often unarticulated, experience that underlies your reactions to the storm and the landscape.

Consider contributing:

  • An intense moment from during the storm
  • A strange dream you had afterwards
  • An image or sound that recurs in your mind
  • A description of a place that changed
  • Someone from your past who came to mind
  • Something you lost or found during it
  • A fear or worry that came to the surface
  • A strange or unsettling encounter with an animal
  • An object that was changed in some way
  • A sense of time or reality being distorted
  • When inside and outside blurred
  • An unexpected shelter from the storm
  • A peculiar smell or scent
  • A brief or intense conversation with a stranger
  • Changes in animal behavior observed by an older person
  • When your sense of self shifted
  • A reflection on the idea of 'home'

Your contribution can be as short or long as you like, and can take any form: writing, speech, sound, music, or something else. Don't worry about polishing or editing – I'm looking for raw, unedited, and imperfect fragments. Your submission will become part of a larger web of thoughts, emotions, and experiences that will help me understand the collective experience.

Feel free to disregard these suggestions entirely and contribute in any way that feels true to your own memories.
